Greetings

Will I need to put new yeast into the fermentation tub??

The wort in my fermentation tub is currently approx 28-30C, according to the temp strip on the tub

The temp in the shed builds up during the day. Just opened a door/window, to bring the temp down.

Any sensible suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks
Clive

That's pretty much in the sweet spot for what yeast want. They will love it. It's generally too warm for the fermentation flavours brewers want though.

No need for extra yeast

The reason I asked about new yeast, I have not seen any CO2 bubbles today (day 2).
It was bubbling away regularly yesterday!!

Thanks
Clive

The yeast will ferments much faster at 30° than at 20°. It might have finished. How long has it been in the fermenter?

Yes, we tend to leave it 2 weeks in the fermenting bucket to be sure.
That's normally plenty of time for yeast to finish & most of the cloudyness to settle out.

If you had a fancy tilt gravity thingy, or use a hydrometer to measure each day, you could probably see more accurately when it's finished, but most of us using simple kit just wait it out.
