A New England ipa from o brother brewery. Very nice

Got back from tea at Spoons, and had a bottle of Greene King Abbott Reserve. Then down the pub to pick up the eldest from her shift and a cheeky pint of Batemans XB. Now back home and a pint of my own Old Ale. It's really nice, and a big cheer me up after the last two disgusting disasters that will be going down the drain this weekend. Also took a gravity reading of my Belgian yeast Mild. The sample tastes great, and at this point doesn't have the dreaded off taste. Feeling a bit better about home brewing today; there have been times this month where I thought about packing it in. So, happy days.

Early try of my American amber. Not to happy with the colour but it tastes good. Centennial and Bru-1

What's wrong with the colour?

Just seen your reply about the colour. I used CML Beoir yeast..it drops nice and clear but I think it seems to leave a very dry edge seems to strip some of the sweetness from the beer🤔. Still trying to find my favourite amber yeast. need a high flocculation yeast with attenuation of 70-75% with a subtle yeast character ..maybe English and prefer a dry yeast.

I used Pia yeast, I always find it works well with the hop's. I will give it another week and get a bottle sent over with the porter 👍

I like PIA as it always finishes quickly and cleanly at around 75% attenuation but I find that it does leave beers a little hazy.
