Insults from the two who don't even pay or haven't been around as long as me.. Don't worry the forum won't be getting a bean of mine in future & when it comes to the time to renew they will find out why.
I give an opinion get moderated because the politics doesn't fit the moderator. If this is your business model I doubt whether you'll expand much further.
You either allow politics or you don't. Not just the politics you agree with.
If you want to spout politics or have an agenda that is politically motivated I suggest you post on the other forum on here, The Bridge or whatever its called. That's what its for. This part of the Forum specifically isnt for that, and comments will be controlled as the OP says, whereas the Bridge isn't controlled except to keep within forum rules . Some of your views and opinions will will be a good fit in the Bridge from what I saw, before I removed myself from access to it.
And if you post controversial views, as you have done, expect some robust countering comments back, although I personally don't agree with insults being traded.
Finally you are of course entitled to your opinionss, but in my view a lot of what you have said is frankly rubbish. But I haven't bothered responding, since it would honestly take too much time

...'Fears...'blah blah... nah. Never gonna happen.
Didnt happen in london. Didnt happen at large gatherings. Didnt happen at large demos. Didnt happen during the blm craze. Hasnt happened in sweden. Hasnt happened even in China despite pool parties and raves. Wont happen in schools. Less than double figs of kids have died.
Feel free to believe it will. Feel free to lock yourself away. Keep on listening to the constant media propaganda.

My Dad is 89, I'm 59 and the person I share an office with is 66. I have a public facing staff of four people - all under the age of 35. Of the first group - All of us are at the high risk category (despite being healthy and fit). Two of us work in the public service and part of our duties are dealing with clients and, on a limited basis, the general public. We are also the most vulnerable to Covid-19 which has a higher kill rate then the flu and a higher transmission rate. The facts are simply - healthy young people are just as likely to get Covid-19 as they are likely to survive it. Healthy older people (over 45) are more likely to get it from those not taking precautions, and are more likely not to survive it. I do agree with you somewhat in regards to the figures that you see as important - however, data from the transmission figures do have a role to play in as much as they can indicate where I am most likely to catch the illness and thus I can avoid that place if travelling. If data indicates that certain areas (such as Bars once they reopen) have a higher rate of transmission - then I would suggest, if you have older or more vulnerable family or work mates, you take some form of responsibility not to pass on the virus to them (whether or not you believe it will kill you).

It will be interesting to see the death rate to infections rate from Sturgis, Dakota where they now believe that up to 250K people may have caught Covid 19 and could cost an estimated $12 Billion just to treat them.

On a final note... As I'm off tomorrow, I'm looking forward to batch comparing home brews from December 2019, and June and July of this year. On the brew at the mo is a 'Wash' for something a little bit stronger - stay safe - regards - Conor

Science is merely based on opinion. When lots agree with an opinion that's the accepted one.
A Bill Gates funded Polio vaccine has actually caused large outbreaks of Polio in Africa. ( You won't see this on the BBC though) New science seems to be a little bit like Russian roulette which is probably a problem of no accepted theory as it's all new theory.
I think I'll wait a while before I accept a covid vaccine since the companies running it have forced the government to accept responsibility if it all goes wrong.
I think you will find that is just another conspiracy theory. aheadbutt

I ask questions of them but I have to find my own answers. You call me dangerous why?
You made a statement that was no more valid than mine. Yet I can back mine with as much evidence as you like. Non of it mentioned
on the mainstream media !
The BBC should be reporting this stuff but they don't. Which is more dangerous? Who should you be questioning?
The covid virus isn't even dangerous.

High consequence infectious diseases (HCID)

Yet nobody on here seems to question why are they doing this to us?
Mate of mine relatively fit 40 year old might disagree that Covid “isn’t even dangerous”, he didn’t die, but has been left in a terrible state a shadow of who he was, can barely climb the stairs

Yet more moderation which is bordering on bullying.

I take it you struggle too click links to official government and WHO data?
Surprised you believe anything on the internet especially an organisation like WHO, but I guess you are someone that reads something with rose tinted glasses that are supplied at your conspiracy theory weekly meetings.

Are young people to blame?
The rise has been laid firmly at the door of young people. Around half of new cases in recent weeks have been diagnosed in people in their 20s and 30s.

Significant numbers of cases have also been identified in people in their 40s and 50s, as well as teenagers.

At the start of the "pandemic" most infections were found in elderly people. Since that was the period when it was most critical and led to the spread of the virus, clearly, the elderly are to blame.

That's the last time he'll come round to sample your home brew.

Science is merely based on opinion. When lots agree with an opinion that's the accepted one.
That's not always true. There's the scientific method; one formulates a hypothesis, verifies it experimentally and if the hypothesis agrees with the experiment then the model is correct.

Although, the statement "When lots agree with an opinion that's the accepted one." is tautology.

Official sources! make your mind up which side you believe. Are official sources no longer relevant either if it's against your very obvious preconceived ideas?
There's no point in reading official sources if you're going to extrapolate whatever you want from the info. You claim that "the covid virus isn't even dangerous" and linked to a Gov page which says it's no longer an HCID as proof. However that simply means it doesn't meet the list of criteria, in this case the mortality rate is considered to be "low overall" and so doesn't meet the second criterion. Just because it doesn't belong on a list along with things like ebola, avian flu, and SARS doesn't mean you can jump to the conclusion that it isn't dangerous.

Since you keep mentioning WHO, their site currently has a figure of just under 900,000 deaths worldwide which is around 3% of confirmed cases. Not sure I would qualify that as not even dangerous. Interestingly, lassa fever (which is on the HCID list) has a case fatality rate of 1% according to WHO.

We can all use statistics. Like the one you are more likely to die getting into a hot bath than Covid, or the average age of those who die of Covid are older than those dying of old age. Which were both covered in national newspapers.
My point in the links & argument was that people's unconscious Bias automatically label me a conspiracy theorist. I am not I am more of a truth seeker.
The fact that they were arguing against official sources means they could all be labelled a conspiracy theorist whilst at the same time calling me one.
One time a truth seeker could of been called an investigative journalist or similar which don't seem to exist anymore.
Sorry if the Mods had a hard time, In fact I was surprised how many took the bait.
Lots of conspiracy theorists on here. :tinhat::laugh8:
I used statistics from the sources you mentioned and linked. But anyway that's me done on this topic, I'm of the opinion that it's not worth arguing with anyone who calls themselves a "truth seeker".

This has got to be the most controlled forum I've ever been on.

As I mentioned in the OP there is already a lengthy "Coronavirus thread" and a "How have the government handled coronavirus thread" in the bridge forum they were put in there so members do not see the comments in both those threads displayed in the new posts list unless members ask to see them, you may think that is controlling I call it doing my job properly, doing what member requested (posts from the Bridge hidden from their view) and trying to keep members happy.

I observe that "comments" on articles in The Indpendent newspaper have gone missing for about a week and good riddance. Have they migrated to the Snug, I ask myself?

What has paying £16 per year got to do with anything? if any of these insults have broken the forum rules feel free to report them and the moderating team will discuss them and take action if its deemed necessary.
As for your length of time here 23 posts per year hardly makes you a regular or prolific poster!

I give an opinion get moderated because the politics doesn't fit the moderator. If this is your business model I doubt whether you'll expand much further.
You either allow politics or you don't. Not just the politics you agree with.

No as i have explained in another post a few minutes ago i specifically asked members not to discuss the government in the thread but you decided to ignor my request then spat your dummy when i removed the post that ignored my request!

Below is the post i refer to above -
