Hi guys my first brew (a Wherry) is being bottled next week and i wanna get another brew straight on...

Does anyone have any recommendations on the cheaper single can kits? My preference is for a bitter.. Ive got a few ive been looking at..

Youngs harvest bitter
Wilko hoppy copper
Wilko sweet newkie brown
Tom caxtons best bitter

Any thoughts?

Dave

Go for a kit that's got more malt unless you want to brew short. The first three on your list are 1.5kg, the TC kit is 1.8kg.
I have done Coopers English Bitter (1.7kg) and John Bull Traditional English Ale (1.8kg) and I preferred the JB kit.
Don't use all sugar to top up the fermentables use Beer/Brew Enhancer; I prefer Youngs BE over the Coopers equivalent or make your own up with 500g DME and 500g dextrose.
Any kit will be lifted by a dry hop. You could try that to help things along .

Just done a Harvest bitter which is carbing, pretty well there now.. A bit cloudy but clearing. Brewed it short with spraymalt and youngs beer enhancer and hopped it at start and dry hop.
Have a Hoppy Copper yet to do.Not much help i know:doh:. Did a Wilko Velvet stout brewed short and tampered with :lol:which was decent:thumb:.
