Hi All

So here is my recipe:

Original Gravity (OG): 1.050
Final Gravity (FG): 1.013
Alcohol (ABV): 4.91 %
Colour (SRM): 8.0 (EBC): 15.8
Bitterness (IBU): 33.6 (Average)

68% Maris Otter Malt
22% Wheat Malt
10% Crystal 30

0.5 g/L Chinook (11.4% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil)
0.7 g/L Chinook (11.4% Alpha) @ 30 Minutes (Boil)
0.5 g/L Galaxy (13.4% Alpha) @ 15 Minutes (Boil)
0.5 g/L Galaxy (13.4% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Aroma)
0.7 g/L Galaxy (13.4% Alpha) @ 0 Days (Dry Hop)


Single step Infusion at 68°C for 80 Minutes. Boil for 80 Minutes

First of all if there is an actual beer called Andromeda this is in no way related (i'm just being lazy and unoriginal). This is just an American Pale Ale recipe I threw together on Brewmate that is in desperate need of some attention.

Seeing as I am going for a really hoppy APA with loads of Galaxy in the face should I be mashing this lower? Guessing I should be going for something dryer and cleaner?

Also any ideas on what other hops might go with this for bitterness. Not sure if I've got enough Chinook. Got challenger but not sure if using a classic British hop is a good idea. Also have plenty of cluster but it is low Alpha Acid so I would have to use a lot and wouldn't want to risk overpowering Galaxy flavour with Cluster flavour. Maybe I'm also going a bit heavy on the crystal/wheat (though I am pretty much using what's at hand for a 60L desired volume brew)?

Any help much appreciated!
 
Just thought I'd bump this...

Maybe the recipe isn't up to scratch?
 
It would be helpful, to me at least, if you add the actual amount / weight of the grain & hops along with your brew length :thumb:
