Hi,

I will soon do my first attempt of brewing a kit beer. And I was hoping that someone could answer a few questions:
The kit that I was looking at is Muntons IPA does anyone have an experience with this one? Is it any good?
Should I just poor in the yeast that comes with it, or is it better to somehow activate some yeast first? Or buy different yeast?
I have noticed that a closed fermenter (25L) is not much more expensive then a bucket. Would a closed fermenter reduce the risk of something going wrong, or would it just make things more complicated.
Any other tips would obviously be welcome.

hey, Sadly i have never used that kit but i am sure someone on this forum has. With regards to the fermenting bin i would use one just to be on the safe side of things but i have read somewhere that you can use buckets with cling film on top to stop things getting into your beer. But you need to make sure its food grade safe.

Hope this helps

Bigsteve
