With the decline in cask sales down too around 6/10% I hope we as homebrewers can change this ....AND brew and push cask ale styles to become the New BIG thing for 2024, we need to stop following the US and re look at are Brewing History which is slowly becoming part of history itself !.

Great cask ale is hard to make Great ...you need skill...great clean liquor ...fresh British hops...fresh malts...and most important is your top cropping yeast strain which like the Harveys yeast has been repitched which has made the yeast have a signature favour which you can taste blindfolded.

Yeast is the secret here....and will always be......

And should we serve Cask again in a Wooden barrel or would this be too expensive or not allowed by HMRC.....was the last brewery to use wooden barrels Wadsworth ?for Local Pubs.....we need the US to look up too us again.............
