Hi
I have had a Jarl ale from Fyne Ales recently and absolutely loved it. But what surpriced me the most was the very pale colour. I dont know if it was me, or the.colour really was as pale as any lager. My question is how did they.achieve this colour? It is only maris otter and wheat, but i would expect darker beer based on what i brewed with maris otter. Are there any other processes involved to keep the colour pale?
Thanks

When I make a beer with just MO I get the colour shown on the Fyne website:

And I sometimes add wheat malt.

You just want to make a beer with OG 1038, 40 IBUs, around 5% wheat malt and all Citra hops. I've done pretty much this myself and it was great. Used a different bittering hop, possibly Northern Brewer. I think Citra is best in this kind of ale.
