Got a batch ready for bottling but not sure how much sugar to prime with!
Guessing the same as an ale, 4g per litre? Anyone have any preferences?
First stout for me so advice would be greatly received.

That's what I carbonate my stout at. Actually I carbonate everything I make at that rate

Had some really good results with this ratio in fact that is what I do all my beers at now!
I was just a bit apprehensive about giving a stout the same level of carbonation as I would an IPA .
Suppose what I should have done is bought a can of Guinness to have a look at carbonation levels as I really don't have a clue.

I just found my preferred carbonation level by trial and error
