I've been meaning to add my years brewing to this thread and just realised I haven't got much time left!

10 gallons of London Pride
10 gallons of Golden Glory
5 Gallons of Summer Lightening
10 gallons of general bog-standard bitter

Forum Total so Far = 6980.5 Gallons

Marengo.

I think you must have been drinking when you added up the totals (unless you really did brew an additional 1000 gals) :drink:

You are quite right! I just realised that myself! (and yes I am drinking......)

If I had brewed another 1000 gallons I would be well pickled !

Having said that, unless my maths are wrong again we should be on 6970.5 G....? But feel free to correct before I slide under the table......

My apologies for throwing all the calcs off. hic!

FORUM TOTAL = 7,021.5 gallons

Happy New Years!!!! May next year we brew even more in 2013.

Hahah. We won't get the total for a week or so anyway while people work out their remainders etc. Maybe we could aim for 10k next year with the forum growth... :p

It wouldn't be right for anyone else to open the 2013 thread so whenever you get a chance Rob, there's brewing happening today!!

5 gallons Young's Harvest Bitter (2nd of two 'free' kits due to a Tesco pricing error!)
5 gallons St Peter's Ruby Red (bottled on 30/12/2012)

7111.5 gallons = 56892 pints!

You can add 15 gallons from me.

5g TT Landlord clone
5g Old Contemtible
5g Sarah Hughes dark ruby clone

So 7126.5 Gallons

Better late than never!

4g Elderflower Champagne
4g Ginger Beer
2g Winter Ale
1g Best Bitter
2g IPA
1g Peach Wow
1g Toffee Apple Cider
13g Cider

28 Gallons

Forum Total so Far = 7154.5 Gallons

That's an amazing total!

By using this page you can work out the duty that's been 'avoided' by home brewing!

I split the numbers into 4000 gallons of beer and 2724 of wine (haven't added up the totals in the thread, just guesstimated) and using the default settings of £2.95 a pint and £4.99 a bottle of wine the forum has avoided £737,152 of beer tax and £1,631,188 of wine tax!

Those numbers are so staggering that I don't know if I've made a mistake somewhere. Maybe someone who is more mathematically minded wants to work it out?

Maybe we're the reason the country is still in recession!!

Hi Bursar, doesn't this website take your weekly intake and give out the tax for the year or am I miss reading it?

I haven't added.for a while so we can put on another 40 for me

Total, I think = 7234.5

Apparently you need to put your cider onto the cider total. :thumb:
Revised total 7314.5
Plus my 23 litres of Coopers Lager and 23 litres of Youngs Harvest Mild.
New total 7360.5
