Hi all. I am planning on brewing a Czech Pilsner from a GW recipe in Brew classic European beers at home.
The recipe says the wort should be simmered for 150 minutes. Is this really necessary? Far be it for me to question the great man but I'm not sure if I have the patience.
I would welcome your thoughts and suggestions as I have not brewed many lagers.
 
Not the dreaded 30/60/90 minute boil again.:laugh8:
You may not know but this is a very contentious issue on this thread.
My advice if you are new to brewing is follow the recipe first time if you have the time
