I’ve just strained the fruit off my Mellon wine an it’s like syrup! Is all lost or could I dilute the must
Cheers

Yes 4 water Mellon’s 1.3g sugar 1 sachet yeast 2 tea spoons nutrients 250ml concentrate red grape
Thanks for your reply

Did four watermelons produce nearly eight litres of juice or did you add water?

Has the fruit pulp been strained through a fine mesh? Could it be pulp that is making it thick? Sugar amount sounds OK as I use 850 to 1,000g per demijohn (4.5L).

Yes Keller
I took most of the fruit off the then strained it yesterday tried racking into Dj’s this morning and it’s still syrup! So i pored the must through a funnel as I was pressed for time! Obviously very frothy. Would you think it should thin out with fermentation? Or should I dilute with water. You’re input is very much appreciated
Cheers
