Pimping my pot

Shiny bits for the kettle upgrade this weekend!

Took Fil's advice and added an angled pickup tube for inside the pot. Gone for the home made stainless bulkhead as advised using a hex nipple and a silicone washer cut from a sheet of 2mm thk silicone sheet . I'm a little concerned that the hex nipple has a very short thread, but we will see how we get on.

All done and so far no leaks. Etched some volume markings into this new pot too using a modified power supply, some vinegar and some salt.

Thinking about trying it out with a simple nettle ale this afternoon .
