Hi all, Hoppy New Year to you all!! anyone have any experience of RO systems? I'm just about to embark on AG brewing (with a Robobrew) and will mainly be brewing IPS's and AIPA's. My water is hard (Windsor area), and I understand that softer water is preferable for these styles.
I have lots of space in my new (unfinished..!!!) brew room, so size isn't such a consideration (within reason!!)
Best regards for 2020!!

On the contrary hard water is very good for an IPA, this misconception seems to be prevalent due to the conflation of hardness and alkalinity. For an IPA you want hard water with a low alkalinity.

Using RO water (usually blending it with your raw tap water) is one way of reducing alkalinity, but it also reduces hardness (ie removes calcium and magnesium among other things).

I have a basic little RO filter like this one and it works great
