Alas, I am back at work tomorrow, with a sunburned back, lol.

Haven't turned in my phone yet to see where I'm going to, but I suspect it will be some hot and sweaty warehouse, or office.

Still love the heat!

You're right. It's the lack of air con that does it. The train I was on (and much of the stock on SW trains I think, at least from clapham junction to surbiton/kingston/chessington) is from the 80's and doesnt have air conditioning. This is the first half of my commute. The second half is by london overground which is a much newer line (2007). So the carriages have air conditioning. Its like night and day (or rather I should say heaven and hell)

The mainline trains themselves were OK because I changed my times so I caught trains that had air conditioned carriages in both directions. I did have to get the DLR on the way out to Stratford this evening and flippin' eck that was hot. I can't imagine how bad the deep-line tubes were today.

I hardly ever go on the deep-line tubes. Imagine what the central line was like today!!

I think only the intercity services have air conditioning on SW trains. They really need to update their stock

I drove to Dartmouth (alternate Aircon/windows down),got the boat to Agatha Christie's house...tea and sandwiches..
Back to holiday home..swimming in outdoor pool...tea in the pub,pints of beer...what a bitch....

It was a pair of Crocs and after nearly two years I'm still peeling bits of skin away from my right foot 'cos I think the foot got an infection in it after it healed from the scalding!

It modified my brewing though! Now I never move the Boiler or touch a drop of beer until the wort is cooled.

The current heat is a bummer though! I have a B&M Bitter underway and in the garage the daytime temperature hit 28*C today. Brewing Fridge 2 is "heat only" (who needs cooling in the UK? - Ha!) and it has managed to stay under 24*C as it's been fermenting and at the current Dry Hop stage it has stayed under 23*C.

I live in hope - as usual. :thumb:

I find that a concrete or ceramic tile floor is a good heatsink. I'm managing to keep my wort to around 22C. As I type this it's cloudy and fairly cool. Bloody miserable

Oooooh! How true, but you forgot about the Instructor!

Having seen the same film about fifteen times it's hard for an Instructor to stay awake for 30 minutes when sat in a cool darkened room after a night out with the lads on the course.

I remember waking up to the sound of the film slapping around the reel near my head and shouting "Someone please switch the lights on." to an empty room!
