It's beautiful. I think it's fairly safe to say that apart from the odd blip, summer is dying on its **** and autumn will soon be felt. One good thing about the sustained heat and sun is that I got the first gallon of blackberry wine on last weekend.. about 3 weeks early. Will be harvesting more today - when it stops raining!

The bushes I harvest from aren’t quite ready yet but it looks like the berries are going to be a bit smaller than usual so hopefully extra sweet

Driving back from Milton Keynes to north Lincolnshire yesterday was horrendous. I do between 40k - 80k business miles a year, and regard myself as a fairly experienced driver, and can say that they were the worst driving conditions I have ever experienced. It was like being in one of those channel 5 'worlds worst extreme deadly killer storms' type programs. Four bloomin hours.

I drove back from Devon yesterday evening as Mrs Clint has business to attend to today ..the drive was ok except for 30mpbloodyhour through Birmingham and 31 c!

Depends if you brew outside. Ifyou mean fermetation conditions, use the right yeast and almost almost all conditions are the right conditions.

Quoting this again.. That 98% was 97% last week... Never believe the concensus on a theory - it is always wrong. Take note of the small percentage who aren't paid to promote this drivel and will see it through to the bitter end even when all the grants have dried up. Ah Thursday's storm which broke the monotony... wasn't up to much tbh but one bolt of lightning was so close to our works that the gunshot thunder was heard simultaneously. Put my mate clean on his a***. Hilarious!
Now proper hailstones, it tried to rain here earlier but it didn't last long the met office failed again.

Twas me! But it looks like the heat will be on again from Wednesday. Gotta be summer's swansong.. I hope. Don't much care now, daylight is shortening rapidly and that feeling of 'high summer' has all but gone. Roll on October.
