Daft question, i used Danstar Nottingham for my last brew, I didn't top crop as i was worried about infection.

I did however keep the remnants of yeast for washing etc.

Will the yeast be re-usable if I just took the slurry if it is a top cropper?

Yep, I sometimes pitch fresh, cooled wort straight onto the yeast cake of the previous brew, goes off like a rocket! There's also a guide on here to washing yeast to seperate it from the rest of the trub. T

Did this with my last brew and as said above, it went off like a fire cracker.
