We got solar installed in July. Just got round to my 1st brew last night.
What do the graphs show.
Pale green was the days solar so not good. It was very overcast so the battery was getting dipped into during the day.
Brewing commenced with little solar so the mash water was heated via the battery.
Then doing the sparge for some reason it hit the grid briefly however the boiler had been switched on for the boil of the wort too. After that the boil hit the battery exclusively you can see the wee spike when the microwave was turned on and then after the boil you can see another spike on the battery where I cooked my ramen.
It did drop the battery down to 20% and then spent most of today recharging it.

If I'd brewed today during the day I'd have got it all entirely off the solar but my employers may have objected. Did however cook a two course dinner and a tray of flapjack. Basically once I get more than 2.4kw of solar I could brew entirely off grid.
