+1 for Q-Max. Makes life easy and a nice clean hole. The punched out section can be made into a nice stainless washer if you have smaller size cutters. You do need to hammer it flat as it comes out all wavy. But nothing can beat a nice sharp drill for the pilot hole.

The step sizes are small and open out the initial 2mm pilot hole very easily.
Also less than £5 including postage.

I've just upgraded to a better drill as the previous one was a cordless and now with a corded i made the hole in seconds and this drill bit is awesome
