I wouldn't use a knife . I have use the gas. Unscrew the lid a few turns and and a psi or 2 to pop the lid. Don't put you face over it incase you pop the locking nut of the thread if you put too much gas in...I have used this method once or twice

I did this when I had a stuck top but didn’t think to put the ring back on lol

I did my first closed transfer from the all rounder. Everything worked a treat. For dry hopping I released some of the pressure unscrewed the lid. The remaining pressure was enough to lift the lid slightly. Added hops and left the valve full open to purge.
