Hi,
Does anyone remember a mild called toby light at all? I think it was brewed by Bass breweries. I'm trying to find the recipe for it if anyone can help. Tried googling but nothing.

Cheers!

Glyn.

Just a note of caution I have never had a successful Dave Line brew. To be fair I have only done one mash and two extract recipes, the extracts were undrinkable, and it was obvious that they would be when the Krausen dropped after 24 hours to be replaced by huge oily bubbles. Both recipes did the same. I believe it was because of the high levels of dark sugars in the wort. The mash was ok not really awful but not the sort of standard I am used to from the Wheeler book.

I sort of regard Dave Line as Brewing's version of CJJ Berry, good for their time and perhaps a necessary step but maybe a little out dated now. Think along the lines of Berry's high sugar musts and lines reliance on darker sugars for flavour.
