Anyone know what this Quadrupel is like?
It's in the local Carrefour and I'm thinking of having it with Venison stew tomorrow night.

Food pairing: This Quadrupel (Quad) style beer is best paired with beef, game, and smoked meat and it also goes great with digestive for dessert and buttery style cheeses like Brie, Gouda, Havarti and Swiss and sharp style cheeses such as Blue and Cheddar.
But Quadrupels are for tomorrow, so sounds just right.
Tonight I'm starting with a Carrefour 'La Charnue' IPA 5.5% from Brasserie Castelain.
Citra, Simcoe, golden with biscuit and moderately bitter. This could be Camden pale ale! Very drinkable.
Spent yesterday in the pub drinking a nice beer from Musket Brewery but I can’t remember it’s name (had “Claw” in the name but I’ve never seen it before).
At home tonight and tucking into my 6.2% American Pale, Butterfly Effect.

This beer52 pale that I’m not sure who the brewer is. Is interesting enough to distract from the session strength.
Followed by my bock on tap that has become very palatable after 2 months in keg.
Eating (and drinking) in our friends' apartment this evening, as SWMBOd has a Japanese language session.
Drinking this Chablis to go with salmon rillettes, proper baker's baguette, and my tossed together salad.
France is wonderful for tasty, simple food - but we Brits are getting there!

English Pale, Pirate Pale. I’m not sure which I prefer, the American or English, they are very different but equally nice.
I had a few beers Saturday after none since 1st January. Had friends round and felt obliged to join in although I just wanted to have a quiet night. I wouldn't have bothered otherwise. I felt dreadful most of Sunday.
Every choice is tasty.
That's the beauty of home brewing.

Trying this today. Once you get past the vinegary cheapness it's not too bad. Obviously doesn't compare to the £70 bottle that our boss bought us on holiday!

Give the venison stew a miss, (tastes like Kangaroo) and get stuck into the Quadrupel.
I like kangaroo stew, well chipolatas anyway.
And crocodile fricassee.
Had it up at Port Douglas.
