Melted marshmallow and chocolate. Can see the thought process behind it, heaven forbid what the fire alarm thought though!

I do like a Yorkshire pud with most roasts, but xmas dinner is about the only meal of the year when I have a dessert (I love crimbo pud, with brandy cream), so sadly there's not enough room on the plate (or my belly) for the Yorkies.

This is even a question? Anyone who says that Yorkshire pudding should only be served with beef is less trustworthy than any politician. If there's not yorkies on the table on a Sunday in our house all holy **** breaks loose, regardless of the meat alongside it...and they better be homemade. None of this aunt Bessie's bollox either!

And it's not exactly hard to make them either. No excuses for Yorkie pud-less dinner.

So as a secondary question, what's everyone's fave recipe?
Mine is James Martin traditional pudding recipe. But tweeked with my mum's old habit of not using hot veg oil in the pudding tray, instead she drains off some of the fat from the roast and uses that instead. Luuuuuuush!!!

Edited to add, doesn't work with chicken juices, so I have a tub of beef dripping in the freezer for those occasions

Xmas hols starts for me tonight so beef joint covered in thyme and garlic salt in the slow cooker, finished off in the oven with bread sauce and......
