I've got one of these. Still use my analogue thermometer when brewing but the gun looks cool.

I thought infrared will only tell you the surface temp and not the temp within the mash?

Thats why I stick with my other thermometer. I tend to buy gadgets without much thought as to whether they're useful or not. The wife is never impressed like.
Thermapen. Not cheap but certified accurate.
I do think my thermometers logo looks cooler than yours but it's not ã2 cooler! :lol:
