I,m a bit confused about 2 row malt.
cant seem to buy it in the uk
The malt miller have several 2 row on their system but it doesn,t seem the same

It's fairly safe to assume that all malt sold in the UK will be a 2-row barley variety. 6-row barley is more common in the US, so US recipes will sometimes specifically state to use one or the other.

6-row barley has a lower starch content and a higher protein content than 2-row barley, so it is normally used in conjunction with something like corn or rice. 2-row barley is more suitable for beers that use exclusively malted barley.

Edit: should have added that if you need to substitute for '2-row' barley in a recipe than go for a pale ale malt.

My reading of it is what Stu's has said.
Obviously it is not really viable to export the US versions to the UK I would think but we have plenty of choice of grains that are equal to and better

We do grow 6-row barley in Britain. We feed it to pigs and cattle. Some countries make malt for "beer" out of it.
