THBC have 2 sites, .ie priced in € Euros and .co.uk price in £ Pounds its not just you are using the Irish site is it?
They have 2 sites as but operate out of Mountmellick, Ireland. The two sites have slight differences in offers but mainly pricing and vat registration which has all changed due to brexit.

I believe you can offer a forum discount without being a sponsor, and that offering a discount is not a prerequisite of becoming a sponsor.
Right in that case I may have taken it up wrong assuming you needed to be a sponsor to offer discount due to selling HB related items, I do apologise for that @Chippy_Tea.

I would give the lads a chance to sort things out before moving orders they IMO have been good suppliers in the past for most of us forum members and have generally always given a discount. My loyalty will lie with them and hope they can sort out the delivery issue as I would be reluctant to change a supplier I have come to trust

A message from THBC -

Apologies for the current confusion, we are just as annoyed as you must be. The Brexit deal was struck after we closed for Christmas. We still are trying to understand what the implications are. We have all our necessary documentation and requirements in order to allow us to ship to the UK. We have 100s of orders currently stuck in UK customs. We are tracking these very carefully. From what we have so far, it seems they are not equipped to deal with the new high level of paperwork that is now required for all goods entering or leaving the UK from Europe. We have been ensured by our courier that all is OK with our documentation, it is down to sheer volume and an unfamiliar system. We hope to see orders getting through today and tomorrow we have been told. In the meantime, we have had no choice but to switch off the UK until the situation is fully resolved. Once they get to grips with the new system, we will switch the UK back on immediately. I can understand people’s frustrations and trust me we feel that tenfold. We would ask for your patience at this time until we get through this current blip.

Fingers crossed it gets back up to speed soon!

My last order from GEB placed Jan 4th arrived safely this morning. Fortunately it got into the DPD pipeline before DPD suspended deliveries to from the UK to Europe. Great service from GEB and I'll be sorry not to be able to use them again until they get rid of DHL (£32 delivery on a bag of malt instead of £12). Fortunately, DPD are still delivering out the Ireland and I found Shane's lot excellent, too. It's just that I marginally prefer Crisp's Best Ale Malt to Hookhead for some beers and it's always good to have a choice.

I also placed an order on GEB last week for malt/hops and it came within two business days! I think they are Northern Ireland though, so they probably don't have the customs issues to the UK that HBC are. Shame about GEB delivery to France though! Hopefully, DPD will resume for you!

Unfortunately they do have the same issues as although UK we are under EU law for import/export as the border for Europe and the UK is in the Irish Sea so customs are at the ports.

I placed an order with GEB on the 7th early hours and got it Tuesday as DPD don't collect on weekends and it arrived yesterday though it's only about 40 mile from where I live though won't complain.

Ahh I didn't realise! So weird my order from GEB came so fast then haha!
They had an idea what was happening and have went to the bother of purchasing and opening a warehouse in the Republic of Ireland so as to accommodate it's EU clients and because it's mostly foodstuff they have loads of paperwork and went to the bother of hiring more staff for shifts and hiring a person to deal with the customs clearance.
There is a Blog by them on how Brexit affects them.

Interesting for sure!

We are getting hammered here at the minute as the big supermarkets are having delays filling shelves with their own branded product as its UK to NI/EU regulations.
Sainsbury's have taken a interim deal with a local distributor and has 75 alternative items from Spar on the shelves though I do have the advantage of having both home brew stores on the island..

Can you import from Eire without delays? To keep NI in EU when the rest of the UKleft was lunacy. Shame they never worked it out before Brexit.

Hopefully things start moving freely again, it must be very stressful for local businesses. They have worked years to build up the business. I am waiting on dog food nearly 10 days getting delivered from England.
