Hi all.
Looked into the legalities of giving away beer, say a barrel at a BBQ, and general opinion across other forums was that it was a no go area, cause of the duties etc. Sounds like the club running this competition, which has a beer tasting of homebrews every monday evening, isn't too concerned. Does anybody know of any case's of homebrewers getting pulled up by customs and excise?

I remember about 30 years ago when I lived in the Black Country a chap ,nicknamed Mick the Fence, was caught selling homebrew to his neighbours ,they used to queue outside his house with empty bottles.
