Just putting together this years Christmas beer recipe.

Usually do twist on a RIS but thinking maybe something a little Belgian and dark this year.

Anyone else planned/planning theirs yet?

Funny you should say that. Now is the time to get one on the go. Comments welcome. I'm not sure about the apples... too few to have any effect? I haven't used them before (except in cider obviously) so no experience of their use.

Hope this one works... not much to lose of it doesn't:

Was planning a chocolate coconut stout for Christmas, but can't get a brew on at the moment as my brew fridge is knackered

not really a tout/porter drinker, but had a Black IPA recently which got me interested. I couldn't decide if I liked it or not - think I did!!!! But remember when drinking it thinking it would be a nice christmas evening drink.

Still got some bottles of a Brewferm Christmas I did for last year, should be even better after a further years maturing. Also already done a Brewferm Abdji that I'm saving for winter. Finally bought a Young's Oaked Rum Ale recently that I have made before and loved. Will get that on soon for Xmas drinking...

Got half a dozen bottles of 2 year old fruitcake barleywine remaining and the carboy of English Barleywine I brewed back in December is maturing nicely. But I guess the batches of dubbel, bourbon vanilla stout and year old Belgian dark strong are all very suitable for Christmas.

Planning to brew an old ale with kveik yeast in a few weeks then age half of it with brettanomyces clausenii for what will probably be the following Christmas.

Mulled Cider (TC) - last two years favourite and in demand.
Traditional Grapefruit IPA - weekend brew.
Raspberry IPA/Smoothie about to be bottled.
And something else to be decided !

There was a secret Santa last Xmas bottle swap which I really enjoyed. Can’t remember who organised - but we should do again.

Yeah that was great. @strange-steve organised it. I'd be well up for participating again, but I'd guess it took quite a lot of arranging!
