A stout from the pick and mix of beers that I was bought for Xmas. Roasted Cocoa nib shells are added to the mash and there's a pleasantly roasty aftertaste. Cocoa far from overpowing. Carbonation is good, but zero head retention.

Finally got the boil on for my brew. Here's a Belgian pale ale to celebrate

The picture doesn't do it justice, it's probably the clearest beer I've ever made and taste fantastic.

Here's a pic of my first runnings syrup too, I could've gone darker but I think the sugar temperature was starting to melt my spoon!

After a bracing trample with the mutts I was fancying a pint of Hazelwood Brewery bitter...but Mrs Clint has pipped it with a cup of tea..boo!

Time to get cracking into some of these older ones. A bottle of pannepot from 2016. Sadly uncarbonated. I think I might redose with sugar and F2 and see if I can get some carbonation going. Otherwise it's really nice, and deifntiely heading more sour than young pannepot.
