Babysitting tonight at our youngest daughters. I’ve brought a couple of litres of my bitter and a couple of commercial beers in case I fancy a change or run out of bitter before they come home.

It’s my regular English Bitter recipe although I’ve actually made a change to the latest batch. It’s in the fermenter and has more hops, a little more bitterness, and is lighter in colour.

Having an IPA, late bottling after dry hopping and lost all its hoppyness . If you weren't expecting a hoppy beer it would be fine. Just expectation. Have to get another on.

Bittering flavour is there its the loss of the Simcoe dry hop aromas and sweet hop hit that's gone unfortunately.

I’m pretty convinced that lasting hop flavour comes mostly from a hopstand and aroma from late dry hopping - though aroma is more short lived.

Added hops at 1.010, but took 2 weeks to bottle. Goose IPA kit. Pleasant enough brew, just lacks the urge to open another.

That’s a shame. If you brew the same again maybe add the dry hops 2 or 3 days before bottling?

The one called Montserrat, lovely place, i was talking to a yank from Texas, the misses do you want a beer me yeah came back with this dark beer i said thats not estrella she it is me ok i had 5 while this yank was talking ******** about Africa, i was a little light headed but it is a great beer
