Warm Tennants at £6 a pint. On stage at that point Shinedown, followed 2 pints later by Iron Maiden.

Enjoyed an ESB while in the polytunnel. Not so good the Welsh Archers Bitter, lack of head retention and lacing making the beer seem a bit thin.
Well I might treat myself to that on Wednesday but otherwise I'll enjoy looking forward to them on Friday, generally I don't drink alcohol during the week!
Just got home from a trip to Sevenoaks (remember the nail bars) and it’s of course time for a beer. I did have a beer in Sevenoaks at the Oak.
I also called in to a nice bottle shop where I picked up a small haul for later, the end one either side is my wife’s.
Anyway back to now, Czech Pilsner.

Nelson / Citra pale won't last long in this weather..nice and clear. Not super hoppy but nice crisp easy drinker for the summer at 4.6%

I had a couple of stouts but no picture of those because my phone was on charge. Now I’m having a saison and my wife is trying the chocolate quad. I have to say it’s really good - coffee to start, alcohol builds and fades, and then the chocolate comes in for the finish. Not anywhere near as syrupy as I’d feared. The saison is nice too

. I don’t want to oversell this. Her normal response to beer is “It’s not bad” or “It’s just beer”. She does like chocolate though and was seduced by the word chocolate on the label.
Having a Session IPA, didn’t score well in the comp but I’m enjoying it. I should have backed off on the IBU’s for the judges soft southern palate

That’s not always a good thing, my wife has now a taste for a saison.. She’s currently emptying my keg at an alarming rate.

Don’t get why festivals have to serve awful beer.. They should take a leaf out of Bearded Theory..
Edit forgot to say when I went they had a Jedi training school as well
