Hops, Saison yeast. What's not to like👍
How you managed to sneak it into the American IPA/pale ale competition is a different story 😁😁
It would be to my taste. Seeing the recipe I would probably describe it as a saison - maybe a “hipster” saison 😉

It's a Belgian IPA until the judging is done!
 
Tried this again yesterday, another week in the bottle and the bitter is better. One more week and I think I will drink more of it. Colour is a few shades lighter than the picture

Decided to start with a Coppernob from Tonbridge Brewery. They describe it as a fully flavoured ale with a rich maltiness and fruity hop finish. Hops are Golding, Challenger, and Fuggle. ABV is 3.8%.

It’s pretty much as they describe it. Not shouty, not particularly special, but balanced and nice. Sometimes that’s all you need.

I finally opened a bottle of the weird concoction I dubbed 'cereale' (half base malt, half multiple breakfast cereals) and was pleasantly surprised.

It could do with being a little more hoppy but the maltiness and lingering crisp and faintly floral profile are great, it's also astonishingly golden...my phone is cack so it wouldn't show the true glowiness but it had even more of a gold hue in person.

After 4 dry days its great to finally reach beer o' clock, beginning with a pint of Citra single hop blonde, then a EKG single hop, followed probably by a Best Bitter with 100% Fuggles and if I go for a 4th it will be an Old Hooky Clone.
 
An IPA from Canterbury Ales. Doesn’t say a lot on the bottle but does at least say the beer is dry hopped using Jester. The beer is 4.4%
Aroma is quite malty, flavour is unexpected - my first impression is of sweet bell peppers.
