Tesco kettle elements

so these old style burco wash boiler work ok do they? and no worries that they are galvenised inside is it worth sanding them down to copper?

I'm hoping its a good idea to bring this one back to life again?

I got exactly the same from freecycle a couple of weeks ago and mine seems to be in the same condition as yours. I have a couple of kettle elements ready to attatch so I think you are on to a winner.

I don't know about cleaning though, but another forum member did advise using cheap coke.

I've used one for nearly 30 years with no problems.
The major draw back is that they weigh a ton even when empty!
