Sneak preview of I Break For Lamas, iteration #1 of my American Amber recipe development. It’s been in keg for 10 days now and needs a couple more weeks to clear.
Happy with it as a first attempt, the colour is class. Aroma and flavour wise, the Centennial and Citra definitely stand out. The malt flavour is toasty, leaning towards the crystal and away from roast as I’d planned.
So far, very happy. It’ll get a chance to clear properly while I’m on holidays. I’ll be looking forward to coming back to it when I return.

My regular weekly QC of the Dortmunder Pilsner beer before next weekend's big family BBQ here.
I'm getting to like this on a warm sunny evening.
Just like the brew it was meant to be.
Amazing, for one of my brews.
Lucky there's about 3+1/2galls (imp.) left.
The question is, "Where did the other 1+1/2galls go?"
Don't all point at me!
