Cleaning up and dumping some kegs that were full on acetaldehyde. Yuck smelled like cider.

Anyway enjoying a Czech pilsner that still looks like a kellerbier.

The yeast tastes almost identical to the Budweiser batch and this one is the actual pilsner urquell strain. Time to go back to 34/70 for lagers.

It'll be cider tonight. One of those days when nothing else will do. I make my own, which is nice and dry, and I get a regular supply of Sandford Apple and Oak, which is very slightly sweetened. I wish they wouldn't do that. Nicely chilled, thought it's fine.
All of which Reminds me of a cider I had many years ago in, I think, the Red Lion in Swanage. It was called Far Corfe and it stripped the enamel off your teeth. Horrendous stuff, tasted as if it had come directly and unprocessed from the urinal. In fact that's where it ended up, without the benefit of passing via the middle man.
