Now on Buxton Mantel. A ipa with simcoe and sabro. Sounds amazing don't you think. Unfortunately I am getting little from the hops and little bitterness. Bought from asda.

Looks nice though but no photo due to upload issues

6er down cheers everybody. Bell's Two Hearted American IPA @ 7% ABV.

After a hatrick of disappointment today/tonight I am calling it a night.
Think I will hit the stash @Hoddy sent me for tomorrow's drinking. Looking forward to getting home to my own stuff and the case of cloudwater I bought in the sale

Just one tonight, trying @pilgrimhudd Orkney Ale. No idea what style but its 7% and well aged.
Pours a deep Mahogany, nice red tint when held up to the light. Carbonation is spot on.
Really strong aroma at first I thought coconut but more of a wood, some sweetness.
Flavour is strong and complex, really nice mouth feel. The wood which I am guessing is oak of some sort.

This was really interesting beer to try, I feel that the Oak flavour is still to dominant.

Cheers for sharing I would be interested on what your thoughts.

Yes,far too woody! I put in half the amount of oak chips than the recipe asked for too! I poured out and I thought, this seems quite a bit...

This has mellowed a lot , the first one i had was like drinking processed bark, the 2nd one much better. I'm hoping by summer it may be a bit better, glad to see that you had the same thoughts on it as me really. Next time maybe half the chips again.
